Here's What We Know
Bloomberg sources with knowledge of the matter claim that the Bradley can increase the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, a final decision on sending the armored vehicles to Ukraine has not yet been made.
The cost of one Bradley M2A2 is approximately $2 million, based on the last contracts. The armored vehicle is equipped with a 25 mm M242 Bushmaster cannon with a range of 2 km, anti-tank missiles, and an M240C machine gun.
The United States is now preparing to decommission the Bradley. The first armored vehicles were accepted for service in 1981. In the next few years, the Pentagon will spend more than $4.6 billion to develop a new fighting vehicle.
