Croatia secretly transfers 14 Mi-8 helicopters to Ukraine - media
The Jutarnji list publication, citing its own sources, reported that Croatia was preparing to send 14 Mi-8 helicopters to Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
We are talking about 12 helicopters Mi-8 MTV-1 and two Mi-8T. They have already been removed from the Croatian Armed Forces, and now they are being marked and repaired and reconditioned at the aviation-technical centre in Velika Gorica.
According to journalists, the helicopters will be ready for shipment in about 10 days. Seven of them will be partially disassembled and delivered to Ukraine by land, while the rest will fly to Poland on their own.
The Croatian government neither confirms nor denies this information, as it keeps any data on military assistance to Ukraine secret - this information is classified as classified for public access.
By the way, back in November the media wrote that Croatia plans to send Ukraine 14 Soviet-era Mi-8s, expecting to receive more modern Black Hawks from the United States in return.
