US sends 90 Stryker BMPs to Ukraine, already arrived in Germany (video)
Twitter posted a video of the arrival of Stryker combat vehicles in Germany, which have been handed over by the United States of America. But Germany is not the final destination - the BMPs will go to Ukraine afterwards.
We are talking about 90 Stryker units, which were part of one of the recent US military aid packages.
Flashback
The Stryker is a family of wheeled armoured fighting vehicles manufactured by US-based General Dynamics Land Systems. The Stryker is based on the Canadian LAV III armored personnel carrier, which is an upgraded version of the Swiss Piranha III 8×8 armored personnel carrier. The BMP has many modifications and has been produced since 2002. The main purpose of the Stryker is to bring infantry into the line of fire for counterattacks and to destroy enemy armoured vehicles. The Stryker is underpowered by a tank, but stronger than an APC - a kind of balance between the two.
