Ukraine's Armed Forces target a $15m SA-22 Greyhound SAM system with a high-precision GMLRS missile and a Leleka-100 drone

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have attacked at least two Pantsir-S1 (NATO-codified SA-22 Greyhound) surface-to-air missile systems in the last few days. The second complex probably has a chance to return to service.

Here's What We Know

Last week, SA-22 Greyhound was destroyed near Bakhmut. Ukrainian artillerymen, thanks to aerial reconnaissance, were able to finally finish off the anti-aircraft missile and cannon system on the second occasion.

The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle Leleka-100 and the M142 HIMARS or M270 MLRS (or LRU / MARS II modification) were involved in the attack on the second SA-22 Greyhound. The high-precision GMLRS munition with a launch range of up to 80km hit the hidden SA-22 Greyhound.

The video does not show the detonation of the ammunition, so it is difficult to say whether the anti-aircraft missile and cannon system was completely destroyed. But in any case, the hit should put the SA-22 Greyhound out of action for a while.
