Kh-101, Kh-555, Iskander-M and Kalibr - Ukrainian Air Force destroys 29 of 30 missiles
From the evening of May 17 until the morning of May 18, the Ukrainian Air Force repelled another missile attack by the Russian Federation. In total they managed to shoot down more than 96% of the missiles.
Here's What We Know
The command of the Ukrainian Air Force claimed the destruction of 29 of the 30 missiles. These include 6 sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles, 21 strategic Kh-101 and Kh-555 air missiles, as well as 2 quasi-ballistic ground-launched Iskander-M missiles.
The Kalibrs are carried by ships that are in the Black Sea. The Kh-101 / Kh-555 missiles were launched from long range by eight Tu-95 bombers and two Tu-160 bombers. One of these missiles could not be shot down.
Ukraine was also attacked by 2 Shahed-131/136 kamikaze attack drones. These too were destroyed along with 2 operational-level drones. The reconnaissance was probably carried out by Orlan-type drones.
