Here's What We Know
The defence ministry's Twitter post states that Ukrainian soldiers are receiving special training in the maintenance of vital combat equipment, which is the M270 MLRS multiple rocket launcher system. The training is part of Operation Orbital, a support programme for the Ukrainian Armed Forces that was launched in 2015.
The M270 MLRS is a missile system developed by Lockheed Martin and adopted into service 40 years ago. It uses the Bradley platform as its undercarriage. The tracked base reduces mobility compared to the M142 HIMARS.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already received at least 16 M270 systems in various modifications from Norway, UK, France (Line replaceable unit), Italy and Germany (MARS II). Norway will soon hand over another eight MLRS units.
