Ukrainian Air Force destroys 36 of 36 Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones overnight

On the night of May 25, 2023, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with three dozen Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. All of them were successfully destroyed by air defence forces.

Here's What We Know

The Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement that Russia launched 36 kamikaze drones from northern and southern directions. The aim was probably to destroy critical infrastructure on Ukrainian territory.

Units of anti-aircraft missile forces, fighter jets and mobile fire teams were involved in repulsing the Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 attacks. Joint efforts managed to destroy 36 out of 36 kamikaze drones.
