Accuracy 100% - Ukrainian Air Force destroys 11 of 11 Iskander ballistic missiles and cruise missiles in Kyiv region

On May 29, 2023 at approximately 05:30 (EDT) or 02:30 (PDT), the Kyiv region was attacked by ballistic missiles launched from the north. The Air Force destroyed 100% of the threats.

Here's What We Know

Colonel Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, said that Russia probably used 9M723 missiles from the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, which fly on a ballistic trajectory. This information was later confirmed.

The Iskander-K was also hit. These are already cruise missiles. They are easier to shoot down. Patriot and SAMP/T surface-to-air missile systems are used to intercept ballistic threats. In total, the air defence system was able to shoot down 11 of the 11 Iskander-K and Iskander-M missiles.
