Ukrainian artillerymen show video of Polish AHS Krab self-propelled howitzer in action worth $11.5m

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been using Polish AHS Krab self-propelled artillery units since late May last year. The artillerymen recently published a video of the howitzer's combat operation.

Here's What We Know

The use of the AHS Krab resulted in the destruction of yet another mortar squad of the Russian army. The enemy position was detected by a drone of the 25th Detached Airborne Brigade, after which the 40th Detached Artillery Brigade struck.

The AHS Krab is a Polish self-propelled howitzer with a 155mm gun. Priced at around $11.5 million, it uses the chassis from South Korea's K9 Thunder artillery system and a turret from the British AS-90. It has a maximum firing range of 40 km.

The 48-tonne fighting vehicle is equipped with an engine rated at up to 1,000 horsepower (735 kW). The AHS Krab has a maximum speed of 67 km/h and a range of 400 km. The crew of the self-propelled howitzer consists of 5 people.
