Members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been able to recover the Buk-M1 surface-to-air missile system. It was hit by a Russian Lancet kamikaze drone last year.
Here's What We Know
The air defence system was hit last year. A substantial part of the structure burned out and was damaged. Thanks to volunteers, the military promptly obtained spare parts and was able to restore the anti-aircraft missile system.
After repairs, the Buk-M1 returned to the battlefield. In the video below you can see how the already repaired air defence system launches an interceptor to destroy a Kalibr cruise missile.
The clip was shot in the winter of 2023. The video shows the launch of an interceptor to destroy a Russian missile that entered Moldovan airspace.
