Not a single Patriot SAM has been destroyed in Ukraine - Zelenskyy
The other day, Russia's president announced the destruction of five Patriot air defence systems in Ukraine. Russian propaganda had previously claimed that anti-aircraft missile systems had been destroyed, but this was, as usual, a lie - in fact, all systems were intact and unharmed.
In his traditional evening address, President Vladimir Zelensky said that not a single Patriot had been destroyed in Ukraine: "Whoever in Russia is telling us that our Patriots have been destroyed, they are all there, they all work, they all shoot down Russian missiles. And they shoot down as effectively as possible. Not a single Patriot has been destroyed!"
The Russian president's statement was also ridiculed by Yuriy Ignat, spokesman of the Air Force of the AFU. According to him, Ukraine received two Patriot divisions. Each such division has a command centre, a radar station (radar transmitting information about air targets) and eight launchers.
"Maybe they themselves don't know what Patriot is and what it consists of. And that's why they 'destroy' them every day. I want to assure you that Patriot works. We have seen it with our own eyes", - Yuriy Ignat summed up.
