Ka-52 helicopter dodged an Strela-10 missile and it attacked a Russian oil depot in Voronezh
Clashes between Russian security forces and mercenaries from the private military company Wagner continue. We have already written that the Russian Aerospace Forces lost two very rare Mi-8MTRP-1 helicopters. Now a video has emerged of how the Ka-52 Alligator was able to evade a missile launched from the Strela-10 SAM.
Here's What We Know
Residents of Voronezh are posting videos from the scene. First, a video of an explosion at an oil depot near which a Russian Aerospace Forces Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter flew over appeared on social media.
Later, a video was published showing the Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system belonging to the Wagner PMC launching a missile at the Ka-52. The helicopter was supposedly destroyed.
As it turned out in the end, it was the missile from the Strela-10 SAM system that struck the oil depot. The third video shows how the onboard defence complex protected the Ka-52. As a result, the missile missed the helicopter and struck the oil depot.
