The civil war in Russia continues. The current government has decided to fight off the mercenaries from the Wagner PMCs with strike aircraft. So far, they are limited to helicopters. Fighter jets have not yet stepped in. But not everything is going according to plan with the helicopters.

Here's What We Know

Wagner PMC anti-aircraft gunships destroyed two rare Mi-8MPTR-1 electronic warfare helicopters on their way to Moscow. In order to slow down the advance of the honest military company's forces, the Russian command has decided to strike along the M-4 highway.

Russian propagandists published a video showing Russian helicopters attempting to strike a Wagner PMC convoy near the city of Voronezh. However, the missile failed to hit the target and instead destroyed a civilian vehicle. The video footage shows a large explosion. Russian media report that two people were killed in the strike: the driver and a passenger.

Another video, shot in the Voronezh region, has also been released. It shows the aftermath of the airstrike on the M-4 highway. Although this footage shows that the shells did not hit the highway itself, but fell close to the roadway. But it is not excluded that the hits were in other areas.
