Malaysia wants to buy Slovak Eva self-propelled howitzers, which are built on Tatra chassis and can shoot up to 41 km

The Malaysian Ministry of Defense is in talks with Slovak armament manufacturer Konštruktac Defence to purchase the Eva SAU.

Shephardmedia writes about it. Malaysia wants to buy 18 units. The contract should be signed in the near future. The amount and timing of the deliveries are not yet known. If the contract is signed, it will be the first export sale of howitzers.

Eva is a self-propelled 155mm howitzer. It was introduced in 2015. The development of the SAU was funded by the ministries of defense and economy of Slovakia. The unit can reach speeds of up to 90 km/h on the highway and up to 55 km/h on dirt roads. The SAU is built on a Tatra chassis like the Zuzana. The unit is equipped with a fully automated loading system. Eva can shoot up to 41 km. Declared rate of fire is 5 rounds per minute.
