Germany will send 50 Dingo ATF armored vehicles to Ukraine along with MARS II and 200 GMLRS rounds

Germany is ready to send several dozen armored personnel carriers together with MARS II multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine.

This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the FRN Christine Lambrecht. The minister said that Germany would transfer to Ukraine 50 armored vehicles Dingo ATF produced by the Krauss-Maffei Wegmann company. These vehicles were actively used by the German military during the NATO military operation in Afghanistan.

The Dingo ATF is a wheeled armored vehicle with protection against bullets, shrapnel, improvised explosives and mines. The hull is made of armored steel and MEXAS armor. Protection complies with STANAG 4569 class 3. Vehicle's dimensions are 5.4 x 2.3 x 2.38 m.

Dingo ATF is equipped with a turret with remote control. Standard armament is a 7.62 mm MG-3 machine gun. It can be replaced by a grenade launcher HK GMG (40 mm) or machine gun MZM (12.7 mm).

The truck can reach 90 km/h on a highway. Under the hood there is a  237 hp (160 kW) diesel engine. Cruise range of the Dingo ATF on the highway is about 1000 km.
