Romania wants to buy Iron Dome from Israel: one of the most effective air defense systems
Romania is considering buying the Iron Dome air defense system from Israel.
Here's What We Know
The information was shared by Haaretz, citing the Romanian Defense Ministry. The Romanian defense minister discussed this during his visit to Israel last week. By the way, in addition to Israel, the purchase of the system also requires the permission of the United States, because the iron dome was a joint development of the Israeli company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and the American Raytheon. If the delivery is approved, Romania will become the first NATO country that will receive the Iron Dome.
