Latvia will buy six HIMARS multiple rocket launchers within three years

Latvia intends to purchase six high-precision HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems at once. This was announced by Defense Minister Artis Pabriks.

Last month, the defense minister said that Latvia wanted to buy fewer than ten HIMARS systems. The other day the minister clarified that he was referring to six multiple rocket launchers to be purchased by 2025. But it is possible that their number will be increased.

At the moment the minister can't name the sum that will be allocated for the purchase of HIMARS, as a number of additional items must be taken into account, including the types of rockets, but we are talking about tens of millions of euros. Latvia hopes that the United States will be able to cover some of the costs.
