200 is not enough: Lithuania buys another 300 American JLTV armored vehicles
The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense signed a contract to supply 200 American JLTV armored vehicles in 2019, and has now decided to order another batch.

The relevant announcement appeared on the website of the country's Ministry of Defense. We are talking about an additional batch of 300 vehicles. That is a total of 500 American armoured vehicles JLTV will be received by the Lithuanian army. The contract sum is not named. By the way, according to the new contract the first vehicles have to start deliveries to Lithuania in 2023.

JLTV is a series of highly mobile American armored vehicles. It was created to replace HMMWVs, which are in service with the U.S. Army since the 80s. The program of creating vehicles was launched in the early 2000s. JLTV are available in several modifications for different tasks.
