Israel could send ultra-precise Smart Shooter systems to Ukraine to intercept drones
The Israeli media reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly received Smart Shooter drone interception systems.
Here's What We Know
Smart Shooter is a new development. It was unveiled in 2022 at an arms show in Paris. Israel used the system last month, though not to eliminate drones, but to disperse protests.
The Smart Shooter can be mounted on other drones, helicopters and light fighters. The system can eliminate moving targets. It is equipped with a smart sight that is responsible for locating enemy UAVs.
The mass of a standard Smart Shooter is 75 kg, and the height is less than 1 meter. At the same time, there are more compact versions of the system, which are focused on installation on small arms.
How the Smart Shooter got to Ukraine, if it really happened, is still unknown. It is possible that Poland acted as an intermediary.
