Czech company Aero Vodochody has tested its new L-159 T2X aircraft.

The manufacturer announced this on its official website. The L-159 T2X prototype took to the sky for the first time. During the flights, engineers tested the operation of all functions, systems, as well as elements of the aircraft's design before final integration. It is also planned to install redesigned avionics and high-precision weapons against ground targets on the aircraft. When mass production of L-159 T2X will begin - still unknown. By the way, L-159 T2X is a continuation of the L-159 ALCA model.

L-159 ALCA is a Czech light multipurpose attack aircraft. It was based on the L-59 and is a further development of the L-39 Albatros. It was developed by Czech company Aero Vodochody. The aircraft made its first flight in 1997. L-159 made its public debut in 1999 at the SIAD-1999 air show in Bratislava. The single-seat L-159 ALCA was adopted by the Czech Air Force in 2001 and the two-seat L-159T - in 2007. In addition to the Czech Army it is also operated by the Iraqi Air Force.
