Sweden plans to drop NH90 helicopters and replace them with additional Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk
Sweden wants to give up the NH90 helicopters.

This was reported by the publication FlightGlobal, citing the words of Swedish Army General Micael Byden. He proposed to decommission old helicopters, which are now used to support the battlefield and perform maritime tasks.
Instead of NH90 the Head of the Swedish Armed Forces proposed to purchase an additional batch of Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. The contract is to be realized in the period from 2023 to 2030.

The NH90 is a multi-purpose helicopter developed by the Franco-German consortium NHI led by Airbus. The helicopter is available in two versions: TTH (tactical transport) and NFH (anti-submarine and anti-submarine version). The NH90 made its first flight in 1995 and entered service in 2006. In addition to Sweden, the NH90 is also used by French, German, Italian and Austrian armies.
