The world's largest warship has arrived on the south coast of England.

We are talking about the United States Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford. The ship anchored in the Solent near Portsmouth on 15 November.

The USS Gerald R. Ford is slightly larger than the largest ship in the British Royal Navy. It is 335 meters long compared to HMS Queen Elizabeth's 280 meters. The displacement is 100,000 tons. The ship carries about four dozen aircraft. Most of them are F/A-18 Hornet.

The cost of the USS Gerald R. Ford is about $13 billion. The ship is named after the 38th President of the United States. The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier is now conducting NATO exercises in the North Atlantic.
