NATO leaders decided to reconsider the idea of transferring fighter jets to Ukraine. Retired Admiral James Stavridis writes about it for Bloomberg.

Here's What We Know

James Stavridis notes that amid missile strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, Western countries should provide Ukraine with more resources to bolster its air defense. The retired admiral notes that NATO has returned to the idea of sending fighter jets to Ukraine, which it abandoned at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.

The Alliance could provide the Ukrainian Air Force with Polish MiG-29 fighters or American F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters. The U.S. now has a surplus of fourth-generation tactical fighters, which are also easy to learn.
