Northrop F-5 Tiger fighter crashed in Turkey after colliding with a bird

This was reported by the country's Ministry of Defense. The incident occurred in the Turkish city of Konya. The defense ministry said that the Northrop F-5 Tiger crashed due to a collision with a bird, as a result of which the aircraft's engines stopped.
The fighter pilot survived. After the Northrop F-5 Tiger collided with the bird, he ejected and was taken to the hospital for examination and treatment.

The F-5 Tiger is a Northrop Corporation multi-role fighter aircraft. It is produced in two versions: single-seat (A) and two-seat (B). It has a top speed of Mach 1.4 (1,729 km/h) and Mach 1.34 (1,655 km/h), respectively, and a cruising speed of Mach 0.87 (1,074 km/h).
The aircraft is capable of carrying a combat load of 2.8 tons. The Northrop F-5 Tiger can be equipped with AIM-9, AGM-83 and Hydra 70 missiles, as well as Mk 81 / 82 / 83 / 84, N-117, BLU-1, BLU-27/32 and CBU-24/49/52/58 bombs.
