Here's What We Know
The purpose of the joint exercise was to evaluate the effectiveness of the United Expeditionary Force of the United Kingdom and France working together. In addition to the fourth and fifth generation fighters, Airbus A330 MRTT tankers took to the skies to provide aerial refueling. The military said the exercise was a success.
The Royal Air Force's F-35 Lightning II fighters worked in conjunction with the French Dassault Rafale. The exercise successfully tested how effectively they could repel the air threat, which role was played by European aircraft Eurofighter Typhoon.
