Lockheed Martin could not increase deliveries of F-35 Lightning II fighters to 900 units in 2022. It was hindered by the F-35B accident, due to which the Pentagon banned deliveries of the planes.

Here's What We Know

Lockheed Martin customers received 141 fighters in 2022 instead of the planned 148. Nine more planes remain at the manufacturer's plant due to the flight ban. Totally the company could deliver 984 fighters of the fifth generation.

Last year the F-35 Lightning II was delivered to customers in different parts of the world. In addition to the United States, Italy, Australia, Denmark, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway and Britain have received their fighters.

Lockheed Martin intends to deliver 147 to 153 fifth-generation aircraft to customers during 2023 and 2024. But the recent supply ban may make adjustments to the company's plans.
