Raytheon received $208.7 million to supply NSM missiles to Romania

The U.S. company Raytheon Missiles & Defense will provide anti-ship missiles to the Romanian Armed Forces. The agreement was officially announced on the website of the U.S. Department of Defense.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about Naval Strike Missile (NSM). The cost of the contract was $208.7 million. The work will take place in Arizona (USA), Germany and Norway. Deliveries will be completed by September 2028, but the number of missiles is not specified.

The NSM is a precision-guided anti-ship missile. It is equipped with a 226 kg warhead and can hit enemy ships at a distance of more than 180 km.
