To replace the BMP-1 and M113: the US will hand over 300 M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA infantry fighting vehicles to Greece

United States plans to transfer Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to the Greek Armed Forces.

It was reported by the Greek edition Ptisi Diastim. It is about 300 infantry fighting vehicles in the M2A2 ODS-SA modification. According to preliminary information, the equipment will be provided for free or at a discount. In addition, the USA is planning to carry out restoration of equipment. Approximately the cost of one vehicle will be 1 million euros. It means 300 million euros for 300 combat vehicles. By the way, the American BMP M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA will replace BMP-1 and M113 in the Greek army. Greece passed a part of this armament to Ukraine. So far there is no information when supplies of armaments will begin.

The M2 Bradley is the main infantry fighting vehicle in service with the US Army's mechanized forces. The BMP is built on a tracked chassis and has a 25mm M242 Bushmaster automatic cannon. It also carries a TOW anti-tank missile system and an M240C machine gun. The cost of one Bradley level M2A2 is approximately $2,000,000.
