Slovakia is going to strengthen its air force with new American helicopters.

Here's What We Know

According to defence minister Jaro Nad, Slovakia is buying 12 Bell AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters from the US, as well as 500 AGM-114 Hellfire II missiles. The contract is worth $1,000,000,000, but Slovakia will pay only $330,000,000. The US will take over the rest in exchange for Slovakia handing over Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There is no information when helicopter deliveries will start.
