Raytheon receives $619m to produce world-leading AN/SPY-6(V) radar for US Navy
Raytheon Technologies has signed a contract with the US Navy to manufacture and deliver the AN/SPY-6(V) radar family. This was officially announced on the US Department of Defense website.

The contract is for $619 million and is to be completed by September 2026 at the company's facilities in Massachusetts, Arizona, California, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Texas, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, and Oklahoma.
The AN/SPY-6(V) is the most advanced naval radar. Raytheon says it provides unprecedented missile and air defence capabilities.
The AN/SPY-6(V) family of radars protects ships from ballistic and cruise missiles, aircraft and surface ships. Compared to their older counterparts, they benefit from longer range detection and improved sensitivity and accuracy.
