Flashback
David's Sling is a multi-level anti-missile system for the Israel Defense Forces. It is designed to intercept short-range ballistic missiles, subsonic cruise missiles and large caliber unguided rockets with a launch range of 70 to 300 km. Presumably, the David's Sling can also intercept aircraft. Trials of the system began in 2012. As for Israel, it entered into service two years later.
