On 16 April, the Stratofortress aircraft arrived in Japan. It became known from the official press release of the Kadena military base, which was published on April 18.

The press release cannot be called informative. The publication states that the B-52H Stratofortress supports the US Air Force's mission in the Indo-Pacific region, contributes to deterrence and demonstrates the US Air Force's ability to operate anywhere in the world to support the National Defense Strategy.
