Here's What We Know
The Polish defence minister said the leadership of Lockheed Martin is ready to cooperate with the Polish defence industry. Strengthening it is an advantageous step for the U.S., as it will increase production of missile systems.
Mariusz Blaszczak noticed that the Polish HIMARS centre will appear before the end of this year. It will be a hub for maintenance and production of M142 highly mobile artillery rocket systems for both Poland and other European countries.
The US State Department approved the sale of 18 HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems a few months ago. The $10 billion contract also includes 45 ATACMS ballistic missiles and 1,514 GMLRS missiles of various modifications: GMLRS-AW, GMLRS-U and GMLRS-ER AW.
