The Russian Aerospace Forces have deployed a maximum number of nuclear-capable strategic bombers near the border with NATO. The planes can be seen in satellite images.
Here's What We Know
The base, located on the Kola Peninsula 200 kilometers from the Russian-Finnish border, is manned by 18 strategic aircraft. They include 14 Tu-95 bombers, as well as two Tu-160 and two Tu-22M bombers each.
Planes are flying out on a daily basis. And it is not just training flights. Russian strategic aviation bombers, which are stationed at this airbase, are used to launch missile strikes on Ukrainian territory.
