$106,000,000 contract: Australia buys 78 Bushmaster armoured vehicles

Australia has ordered a new batch of Bushmaster armoured vehicles for its army.

Here's What We Know

The contract is for A$160,000,000 ($106,000,000). It will include 78 vehicles in two versions: infantry and command. The Australian army will thus replenish its stock of Bushmaster vehicles, some of which have been transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is not yet known when the vehicles will be delivered.

Flashback

Australia has transferred over 20 Bushmaster armoured vehicles to Ukraine. The first batch of vehicles arrived in Ukraine in April 2022. The Bushmaster is manufactured by Thales Australia. The vehicle is capable of carrying up to 10 soldiers. It has STANAG4569 protection. It is not afraid of mines or small arms.
