Rheinmetall to produce 300,000 rounds of ammunition for Ukrainian Gepard anti-aircraft guns - deliveries to start in autumn
German giant Rheinmetall will start supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces with 35 mm ammunition for Gepard self-propelled air defence systems in the second half of 2023. This was announced by the company's sales director at the FEINDEF 2023 exhibition in Spain.

Rheinmetall is moving its production facilities to Germany. According to a company spokesman, it will take a little more time to complete the process, after which the line will be able to operate at full capacity.
The German giant says it is not giving up its plan to produce 300,000 rounds of 35mm ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the end of this year. Deliveries are scheduled to start in the first half of autumn.
Germany started transferring self-propelled air defence systems to Ukraine last year. According to the German government, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received 34 anti-aircraft tanks. Three more units will be delivered next summer.
