German defence companies are actively working on artillery modernisation. MBDA Deutschland recently unveiled a full-size version of the Joint Fire Support Missile (JFS-M) for rocket artillery.

Here's What We Know

MBDA Deutschland brought the full-size JFS-M prototype to the Munich exhibition. The missile is 2.6 metres long, has a 1.5-metre wingspan and weighs approximately 300 kg.

The JFS-M has both active and passive homing. It has a maximum launch range of 499km. In flight the missile takes into account the terrain topography. The strength of the JFS-M is its ability to be launched from airborne platforms.
