DPRK threatens to destroy US Air Force strategic reconnaissance aircraft crossing its airspace
North Korean authorities claim US reconnaissance planes have allegedly crossed the country's airspace. North Korea threatens to shoot them down.

A spokesman for the DPRK's national defence ministry said today that the US had "stepped up spying activities". He added that US strategic reconnaissance planes have made "provocative" flights on eight consecutive days since early July.
In particular, they are RC-135 Rivet Joint and U-2S Dragon Lady. In addition, the Korean ministry claims strategic reconnaissance-level RQ-4B Global Hawk drones have flown.
Moreover, the ministry reports that a US aircraft has invaded DPRK airspace over the Sea of Japan several times. North Korea has threatened to destroy US Air Force reconnaissance planes.
