Poland will order more than 20 Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk helicopters with AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and the ability to co-operate with the AH-64E Apache Guardian
Polish troops will be reinforced with US Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk multirole helicopters in the foreseeable future. The Armament Agency has already approved the purchase.

Poland plans to purchase an export version of the helicopter, called the Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk. Production is set up at the Polish factory PZL Mielec. The company belongs to Sikorsky-Lockheed Martin and produces helicopters in Poland under licence.
The value of the deal is not specified, but it is known that the contract will include weapons, including AGM-114 Hellfire surface-to-air anti-tank missiles. According to unconfirmed information, Poland will order more than 20 units of the Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk.
The helicopters can be used for strike and search and rescue operations. In addition, the Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk can interact with the AH-64E Apache Guardian.
