$208m contract: US Army orders additional batch of JLTV armoured vehicles from Oshkosh Defense

The United States of America has ordered another batch of JLTV armoured vehicles.

The information was shared by the company Oshkosh Defence, which is engaged in the production of machines. The contract is designed for $208 million. Unfortunately, what number of vehicles will be bought with this money is still unknown. By the way, in addition to the vehicles, the US will also purchase satellite equipment for them. The new batch of JLTVs is planned to be transferred to the units of land and air forces, as well as to the U.S. Marine Corps.

JLTV is a series of American high-mobility armoured vehicles. It was created to replace the HMMWVs, which have been in service with the US Army since the 80s. The programme to create the vehicles was launched in the early 2000s. JLTVs are available in several modifications and for different missions.
