Germany transfers a new batch of Marder BMPs and other weapons to Ukraine

Germany continues to help Ukraine by handing over a new military aid package.

Here's What We Know

According to the German government website, the AFU received:

• 20 Marder BMPs;
• more than 2,000 artillery shells of 155 mm calibre;
• WISENT-1 tank for demining;
• 2 HX81 tractors and their semi-trailers;
• 5 Carrier Wartho tracked ambulances;
• 2 ambulances.

By the way, the other day Germany announced that it would give Ukraine another €1.3bn arms package. It will include additional IRIS-T air defence systems.
