Flashback
SCALP (aka Storm Shadow) is a French-British air-to-ground cruise missile. It is being developed by MBDA. The missile is designed to destroy important targets that are well protected by air defences. SCALP can be used at any time of day and in difficult weather conditions. The missile is capable of engaging targets at a range of up to 250 kilometres. SCALP is carried by Tornado, Mirage 2000, Rafale and Typhoon aircraft, but the Ukrainian Air Force was able to adapt it for the Su-24 bomber using pylons from British Tornado fighters.
