Japan buys 200 Tomahawk Block 4 missiles from the US

Japan's Ministry of Defence has ordered a batch of Tomahawk cruise missiles.

Information appeared on the official website of the Ministry. We are talking about 200 missiles in the Tomahawk Block 4 modification. Deliveries of weapons should begin in 2025. Japan will receive missiles from the warehouses of the U.S. Army. They will be used by Japanese destroyers.

Tomahawk is a family of American subsonic cruise missiles. They are manufactured by Raytheon. Tomahawk is a strategic and tactical missile of long range, traversing the path at extremely low altitudes with terrain bypass. The missile is available in many versions and has different warheads, including nuclear warheads.
