The US has sent Ukraine GLSDB rocket bombs for HIMARS and M270 with a target engagement range of up to 150 km

We have already written more than once that the United States of America has promised to transfer GLSDB rocket bombs to Ukraine. It seems that the ammunition will soon be in service with the Ukrainian armed forces.

The information was shared by the publication Politico. The first batch of bombs has already been sent and it should arrive in Ukraine today, 31 January. According to US officials, the new weaponry will allow the AFU to improve its strike potential.

GLSDB is an experimental weapon that is a hybrid of a GBU-39 small-diameter bomb and a rocket motor from an M26 rocket launcher. It has a maximum launch range of 150 kilometres. To use GLSDB Ukraine has highly mobile artillery rocket systems HIMARS and M270. The missiles are manufactured by the US company Boeing together with the Swedish company SAAB.
