Howitzers, artillery shells, IRIS-T missiles and Skynex air defence systems: Germany to transfer another arms package to Ukraine

A few hours ago, we wrote that Germany was handing over a new arms package to Ukraine. As it turned out, this is not all and the Germans are now preparing an additional package.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by Chancellor Olaf Scholz during a press conference with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who is now in Germany on a working visit.

The new arms package will be worth €1.1bn. It will include 36 howitzers from industrial stocks as well as 120,000 ammunition for them. In addition, Germany will give Ukraine missiles for the IRIS-T SAM system and two additional Skynex air defence systems. There is no information yet on when the arms deliveries will start.
