$1.25bn contract: Poland orders a large batch of Carl Gustaf M4 hand grenade launchers from Saab

The Polish Ministry of Defence has ordered a batch of Carl Gustaf M4 hand grenade launchers from the Swedish company Saab.

We are talking about several thousand grenade launchers, ammunition for them, as well as auxiliary equipment. The contract is worth $1.25 billion. The deliveries are scheduled for 2024-2027.

Carl Gustaf M4 is a modern grenade launcher. It is manufactured by the Swedish company Saab. It supports the use of programmable ammunition and boasts the FCD 558 fire control system. The grenade launcher has an adjustable shoulder rest and an adjustable barrel handle support. Unlike other variants, the M4 can be carried loaded. The grenade launcher is capable of engaging targets up to 1 kilometre away.
