Settings in Windows 11 will soon get a new Home tab, which will contain the most frequently used controls
It seems that Microsoft has decided to update the Settings section in Windows 11 by adding a new section called "Home", which will contain the system controls you use most often.
Here's What We Know
The tab was introduced in system update 22631.2262, which is available to Windows 11 Insider Preview program participants. In it, Microsoft has added a home page with interactive cards that can give you quick access to One Drive cloud storage, Microsoft 365 subscription management, account recovery, Bluetooth devices, recommended system settings, or personalisation settings. The page will also be used to advertise Microsoft's own services, such as One Drive or a Microsoft 365 subscription.
Other new features include Windows Backup, which Microsoft announced in May this year. It works exactly as you'd expect: when you switch to a new PC or laptop running Windows 11, you'll automatically transfer your settings, desktop and Start menu apps, and credentials from your old device.
Of course, the 22631.2262 build also contains other minor fixes and improvements related to Explorer, HDR wallpapers, Task Manager, and more. You can check out the full list on the Windows Insider Blog.
