Just two months ago, Microsoft renewed a promotional offer where new users could sign up for the first month's Xbox Game Pass subscription for just $1 (€1).

Now, information has surfaced that the promotion will be discontinued once again.

It is reported that due to the release of Starfield, many gamers began to abuse the generous offer from Microsoft and massively subscribe to Xbox Game Pass for $1 to essentially play one of the most anticipated games of recent years for free.

The corporation felt this was unfair and cancelled the offer.

It's not yet known when Microsoft will relaunch Xbox Game Pass for $1.
