Microsoft, in partnership with Barclays US Consumer Bank, will issue a special Xbox Mastercard credit card to help players earn points to redeem for games, DLC, and other bonuses.

Here's What We Know

For every $1 spent, players will receive points that can be redeemed at the Microsoft Store or xbox.com. But you can also get more points by shopping at the following places:

  • Microsoft Store - 5 times more points for every $1 spent
  • Netflix and Disney+ - 3 times more points for every $1 spent
  • Food delivery services Grubhub and DoorDash - also earn 3 times more points for every $1 spent

At the same time, cardholders will receive several nice bonuses:

  • After the first purchase (anywhere), a gamer will receive 5000 bonus points ($50).
  • After the first purchase, access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for new Game Pass members is granted. However, if you already have a Game Pass subscription, you can gift it to a friend.
  • Choose one of five designs for your card with the ability to personalise it with your nickname.

Applications for the card will start on September 21, but only Xbox Insider Programme members will be able to apply. Everyone else will be able to apply in 2024. There is one more thing: the card will be available only to those who live in the United States. It is unknown whether the card will be available in other countries.
