UK regulator CMA has released a new statement on the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
Here's What We Know
In a press release, the CMA said that the organisation will continue to consult until October 6 on the biggest deal in the gaming industry.
So far, the CMA has given preliminary approval to the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger, but a final decision has yet to be made.
Microsoft president Brad Smith published a message in which he commented on the CMA's statement and expressed optimism that the long proceedings will soon come to an end.
A favourable decision from the UK regulator will effectively put an end to the merger of the two US giants.
The CMA's final verdict is due by 18 October.
